Emerging Music Awards Official Launch scheduled for Friday April 26

The Emerging Music Awards is a youth’s choice awards scheme that seeks to foster the development of the Ghanaian Emerging Artist by rewarding and Celebrating Emerging Artists who have excelled in the seven main music genres of Ghana; Gospel, Hi-Life, Hip –Life, Hi-Pop, Dance Hall, Reggae, Afro Pop and Traditional.
Emerging Music Awards is powered by Kusstar Entertainment. Kusstar Entertainment is an event management organization registered under the business name Act. 1962 (No. 151) since 2015 headed by a dedicated team of hip, outgoing and creative personals.
Kusstar Entertainment has been in the event and entertainment business for the past years and aims to be the leading Event and Entertainment Company through innovation, creativity and excellence. Kusstar Entertainment has the innovative skills as well as the creativity to meet the high standards of today`s corporate needs and always strives to stay on top. VISION
The vision behind 2019 Ghana Emerging Music Awards is multi-faceted:
• To develop a unique Awards Scheme that includes branding, promoting, support, educating and fostering a strong self-esteem in Emerging Artists in the country
• Creating a platform where A- listed Artists and Emerging artists can perform together
• Provide a stage for the Public to give recognition to the emerging artists’ creativeness
• Emerging Music Awards is to deliver and develop excellence in Ghanaian contemporary music and celebrate community.
• To provide a forum for songwriters, performers and musicians recognizing them for their artistic efforts and achievements.
OBJECTIVES
• To establish and develop the Image of Emerging Artist by way of creating the Ghana Emerging Music Fund (GEMF) in order to help this program time to time.
• To honor and appreciate the effort of these Emerging Artist.
• To reward emerging artist who have blazed the trail in the music industry.
The impetus behind the awards is a commitment to promote greater participation and assist these underground musicians who are doing their best to be part of the A-list Artists in the Country.
Em Awards  is to bring together the best and the most talented in underground music. The “made for television” event ‘harmonizes’ the industry’s most prominent National entertainers from across the Country and recognizes their accomplishments in the entertainment Industry.

“WHO WEAR’S THE CROWN – MISS TEMA HOMOWO 2019?

Miss Tema Homowo is a beauty pageant activated by Menscourt Entertainmentz in May, 2018 set to empower women in Tema and its environs.

This brand isn’t limited to only women in Tema or the Ga’s but once you are eloquent & bold, you are set to join.

Menscourt entertainment thought of it wise to get some interesting but very educational activations which will center much on Culture since much people don’t know about the Ga Dangme Traditions to brand our Homowo festival.

We decided to meet the Traditional Council for their approval & support, they gladly approved because they also realized it was a worthy course.

This is a pageantry that has forever come to stay because aside it Empowering women, It’s here to build the confidence of many young ladies and as well make them more productive.

On this note, Tema is celebrating its 60 years of Resettlement and due to that Miss Tema Homowo 2019 pageant has be channeled to it.
The competition was opened to everyone with language and tribe being no barrier because the Tema is a cosmopolitan community and also, it will serve as a channel to sell our culture to other tribes within our jurisdictions.

Eight (8) young and eloquent ladies are contesting for this year’s (2019) beauty pageant and there, the question sets in again “WHO WEARS THE CROWN? We have 2 pre-activities to be done before the finals which will take place on 10th August 2019.

Namely, Cooking competition and Back to the 80s Festival will happen live at the Durbar grounds with both starting at exactly 10am.

Details Cooking competition Contestants will be divided into 4 groups and each group will come up with a special dish.
Date : 27th July, 2019 Venue : Kpeledzotsoshishi Back to the 80s Festival This is going to be a throwback day where many games that the internet has taken place of will be played. Date : 3 rd August, 2019 Venue : Kpeledzotsoshishi Examples of such games are: Tuu Ma Tu / Peele , Pilolo, Kpiting3 , Sakiodong, Alikoto, Olu, Awaley, Small poles among others.

It will be a long day packed with olden games and will be climaxed with Story Telling which will commence at exactly 7:30pm.

First Premiere Of YOLO Season 5 Records Massive Turnouts [Photos]

The first premiere of the season 5 of Ghana’s Favourite TV series YOLO recorded a huge turnout at the WestHillsMall with people from all walks of life on the 1st of May, 2019.

The youthful TV series has grown to be the talk of the town since new of the Season 5 came to light.
Introducing new casts, the director found a way to keep the audience glued to their seats with smiles on the faces throughout the show.

Directed by Ivan Quashigah, the Series thrilled movie audiences who openly endorsed what they saw on the big screens on Wednesday at WestHillsMall Cinemas.
In attendance of the premiere was the US Ambassador to Ghana Stephanie Sullivan, Adjetey Annan (Pusher), Queenstar Anaafi (Emily), Chiiief (George), Abrantie, Odenkyem, Mark Anthony and more.

The next show comes off on the 2nd May at WestHillMall then moves to the SilverBird Cinema inside Accra Mall on the 3rd & 4th May.
