Listen: Jo Wayne — This Is Nothing For The Radio EP

Published

on

JO WAYNE, Ghanaian musician who was recently on Cape FM for saying music is too expensive as he explained into details why he said so has finally unveiled his EP.

The EP contains 5 sensational tracks which will keep you playlist on fire as you will love to hit replay over and over again after listening to it.

According to him, the reason why he has named the EP “This Is Nothing For The Radio” is because of the fact that he wasnt having the needed funds to put his songs up for radio promotions and also, he wouldn’t want his songs to be played for a while on air and then discarded (even if he had the cash and connections to promote the songs on that platform) but because he was trying to make “unconventional” Ghanaian music which will stand the test of time-based on its content and composition.

Beyoncé’s costar Donald Glover, who plays Simba in the film, also appears on the album as his musical alter ego, Childish Gambino.

The Gift showcases Beyoncé’s iconic voice on musical tracks that are interspersed with “interludes” from characters from the movie, including Mufasa, Nala, Simba, Scar, Timon and Pumbaa.

Fans who can’t wait to hear the new renditions of songs from the original, like “Can You Feel the Love Tonight” and “I Just Can’t Wait to Be King” can hear those on the movie’s official soundtrack.

Calling the album “a love letter to Africa,” the mother of three, 37, told ABC News, “I wanted to make sure we found the best talent from Africa, and not just use some of the sounds and did my interpretation of it. I wanted it to be authentic to what is beautiful about the music in Africa.”
