Stonebwoy, Burna Boy to open for Afro Nation Ghana Festival Day 1



Stonebwoy and Burna Boy have just been announced as Major Opening Acts for Afro Nation GHANA Festival DAY ONE on December 27, 2019. Both global icons performed on same stage earlier this summer in Portugal for the European chapter of the festival which recorded over 22,000 attendees.

Medikal, Falz, Wendy Shay, The Compozers, Fire Boy and Tione Wayne have also been listed as major acts for Afro Nation GHANA day one performers.
The 4-day Music & Arts Festival is not just star studded but a very well crafted long weekend rave with the inclusion of multi-nationals parading at Laboma Beach in Accra.
Shatta Wale, Kofi Kinaata, Davido, Wizkid, Eddy Kenzo, Kidi, R2Bees, Efya, La Meme Gang, Zlatan, Mayorkun, D’Banj, Kuami Eugene, and many more others have been listed for the long weekend festival at Laboma Beach in Accra.
Being it’s maiden edition, Afro Nation GHANA officially stages from December 27th to December 30th this year as publicized across varied networks. As this year is the “Year Of Return”, it only makes a lot of sense that you get along with your family, friends and colleagues for this scintillating experience.
Afro Nation is an all inclusive music and arts festival meant to celebrate and eulogize African culture across various continents, not just Africa. Ghana has been chosen for the maiden edition during the Yuletide.
About 15,000 patrons are expected for this festival in Ghana but some entertainment pundits anticipate the numbers are very likely to shoot up. The 4-day festival is will celebrate different music genres amongst which are Afrobeats, Hiphop, UK Rap, Reggae and Dancehall on the serene coastline of Accra, Ghana.

GlennSamm wins YEA 2019 Fashion Personality of the Year



Ghanaian walking artist, GlennSamm won the fashion personality of the year category at the Youth Excellence Awards 2019 held at Silver Star Tower, November 16, 2019.

The 2019 Ghana Music & Arts Awards went down in Europe.

Announcing the winners, Ghanaian music group, DopeNation emerged as winners for the Best Group as they are signed to Lynx Entertainment.

DopeNation is a Ghanaian talented music group made up of B2 and Twist who aslp runs as producers.

They have worked with the likes of EL, Eazzy, the late Ebony, Shatta Wale Pappy Kojo, Fameye, Flowking Stone and more.

They got into the limelight with their major hit Eish which got them been nominated at the 2018 Ghana Music Awards.

They are known for producing major hits such as Eish, Naami, Zanku and Confam.

Shatta Wale, Sarkodie and AYAT Win Big At MTN 4Syte TV Music Video Awards 2019 – See Full List Of Winners



The 10th Anniversary of MTN 4syte TV Music Video Awards 2019 is over, which was held on Saturday November 16, at the Kempinski Hotel Gold Coast City in Accra saw Shatta Wale and Sarkodie dominated most.

The awards biggest award, Overall Best Video, was won by Kirani AYAT’s video for the song ‘Guda’ directed by David Nicol-Sey (North Productions).

Other winners include Stonebwoy, R2Bees, Okyeame Kwame, Wendy Shay, Quamina MP, Nana Boroo, among others. Two of the night’s big winners, reggae-dancehall star Shatta Wale and rapper Sarkodie picked up 5 and 3 awards respectively.

Nigerian singer and songwriter Burna Boy announced as the winner of the ‘Best African Act Video’ award, he joins an exclusive list of Nigerian artistes who have won the much-coveted African Act honour.

The beautiful and colour ceremony witnessed outstanding performances from Sarkodie, Stonebwoy, Shatta Wale, R2Bees, Medikal, Kwaw Kese, Darkovibes, Lord Paper, RJZ, Quamina MP, among others.

The maiden edition of the 4Syte TV Music Video Awards was organised in 2009 to commend creativity in the music video business. Since then the awards ceremony has become an important date in the Ghana music industry and calendar. This year, curvaceous Joselyn Dumas and stand-up comedian DKB hosted the ceremony.
