The Ghana Tourism Authority’s (GTA) has responded to copyright infringement claims made by Ghanaian singer, Kirani Ayat, after portions of his music video were included in a video message shared by the presidency of Ghana.
According to a statement issued by the GTA, the footage was acquired from a creative agency three years ago and has been used several times for promotional purposes both locally and internationally.
The GTA however failed to announce the name of the agency which produced the video, only adding that Kirani Ayat’s concerns have been forwarded to them.
The GTA also assured the public of its commitment to supporting the creative arts industry for the promotion of tourism.
