Published

on

Shatta Wale in an interview on JoyNews during his massive concert at Teshie, has reacted to Samini’s Twitter attack & described him as a lazy and broke artiste.

Samini has dared dancehall musician, Shatta Wale, to release just a single hit song but the latter says he will not respond to his dare because he’s not on his level.

According to Shatta Wale, all those attacking him are broke, “#yearoftruth we go face them squarely he go come talk say I’m poor meanwhile, you no get money.

Fanfool and beg beg and kiss ass vibes s)))).. you ever see say I delete tweet or apologize to anyone for lose talk before? Lion status man. @shattawalegh stop Dey fool,” Samini wrote in a tweet dated September 15.

But in a savage clap back, the SM boss has once again reminded his critics how much it cost him for a wristwatch.

“I want to tell Samini, if he can buy a fifty-five thousand dollars Rolex then I can respond to that. He’s being lazy, it’s about making money, he should stop doing that.

“He is a dead artiste, that’s all I want to tell him, he is just dead. He doesn’t know what’s up, he doesn’t know where business is going to. I believe I am doing real business; he is working with feelings. If he thinks he can release thousands of songs, look at the crowd here, no fake thing.

This is real, my people love me. Samini cannot come and stand here and get this. He no get money, that’s what I want to tell him,” said Shatta Wale.

BOOMPLAY PARTNERS WITH BILLBOARD TO GIVE AFRICAN ARTISTES A FAIR REPRESENTATION ON THEIR CHARTS!

Published

on

As part of its dedication to helping the African music industry unlock its full potential, music streaming platform, Boomplay, will now have its streams added to the data that informs the prestigious Billboard Hot 100, Billboard 200, Artist 100 and Billboard Global 200 charts. Boomplay streams will as well count towards all other Billboard U.S. and global charts that use streaming data.

This will be effective with data for the tracking week of October 15 through October 21 (Billboard charts dated October 30). With millions of African songs being streamed on the Boomplay platform globally, the inclusion of Boomplay stream data in the iconic Billboard charts provides African and international artistes and music on the streaming platform the opportunity for more exposure on the global stage.

Within MRC Data’s Music Connect platform, Boomplay streams will be included in the ‘Others’ data bucket under Audio On-Demand with data visible on October 12, 2021, for streams beginning on October 8, 2021.

According to Billboard, ”MRC Data’s foundation is built on providing the music industry and our clients with the most complete view of music consumption. We are excited to announce additional data being captured from Boomplay.’’

Boomplay’s Director of Content & Strategy, Phil Choi described Boomplay’s data addition to the Billboard charts as “…a significant step in ensuring African artistes on the platform are fairly and equally represented where it matters and that they have access to similar opportunities available to their international counterparts.

While this might have seemed far-fetched in the past, we now have one foot in the door already following our partnership with Billboard Charts.”

Boomplay’s streaming data added to the Billboard charts represents streams from its subscription tier and logged-in streams from its ad-supported tier, with streams from each tier weighted appropriately.

Boomplay is a music streaming and download service provided by Transsnet Music Limited.
