Rev Ferguson Opoku Ordained Bishop

Rev. Ferguson Opoku on Saturday March 16,2019 has been ordained Bishop for the Church of Heaven Fire Gospel Church in Tema-New Town. The officiating clergy was done by Bishop Richard Ahiagbedey of the Adonai International Ministries.

The spirit filled and solemn ceremony attracted over 1000 people- church members, Bishops, Past Presiding Bishops, Ministers and their wives, family members, invited guests and friends of the Superintendent Minister to witness this solemn ceremony.

Most Rev. Dr. Richard Ahiagbedey who was in charge of the consecration urged Bishop Ferguson Opoku to entrench the virtues of love for one another and walk with the people to let his position grow to attain full stature.

He however assured the support of the people/congregation to enable Bishop Ferguson Opoku to deliver to the expectation of the people.

Lastly, Most Rev. Dr. Richard Ahiagbedey asked Bishop Ferguson Opoku to tap the rich experience of his senior Bishops to chart the course of peace and development of the region. Again, he however on behalf of the congregation congratulated Bishop Ferguson on his new position, welcome him into the fraternity of the conference of bishops and assured him of the support of members.

Bishop Ferguson Opoku in reaction to his new position said, his main objective is to make sure there is unity at all levels of the church and also make sure all souls reach heaven when the last trumpets sounds.

“I want to make sure there is unity in the church especially at all levels of the church starting from the local chapels (local congregation)
I want to make sure all believers and non-believers receives the undiluted word in other to make them reach the kingdom of God,” Bishop Ferguson said.

He added that he will work in close consultation with his church members to enable unity. “I hope my appointment will be a model. I will promote unity, respect, integrity and collaboration among different traditions and also my members .” he said
