We Need A Court Order To Stop Stonebwoy & Shatta Wale From Being At The Same Venue – Gary Al-Smith

Joy News’ Sports Journalist, Gary Al-Smith, has made a suggestion on how to end the persistent feud between celebrated reggae and dancehall artistes, Shatta Wale and Stonebwoy.

The two former Zylofon Media signed artistes have been engaging in a feud since time immemorial – during the recently held Vodafone Ghana Music Awards at the Accra International Conference Centre (AICC) things turned for the worst.

It started when Stonebwoy was called up the stage to receive the award for ‘Reggae/Dancehall Artiste of the Year’.

Shatta Wale walked on the stage with his fans allegedly to congratulate Stonebwoy for the award but the move was interpreted by Stonebwoy’s team as an attempt to protest against the award going to their favorite musician.

And that led Stonebwoy to pull a gun on the head honcho of the Shatta Movement Empire – this brought the event to a halt for close to an hour.

The news was received with mixed reactions as many descended heavily on Shatta Wale for what they described as “deliberately wanting to cause commotion”

Section of the public also lashed out at Stonebwoy for his overly hypocrisy of pretending to be an Angel meanwhile he’s the devil himself.

But Gary Al-Smith who seems upset proceedings at the 20th edition of the highly prestigious Ghana Music Awards were halted to calm down tension after the fiasco at the event took to social media to condemned and share this view on how to end the unnecessary ‘beefs’ among the two musicians.

According to the renowned broadcaster, moving forward in the music industry a court order must be secured to prevent the “My Level” hitmaker and the “Tomorrow” crooner from being at the same event in the future.

In a Facebook post Gary had this to say, “I’m not interested in who is to blame.

But I’ve said this before and I will say again:

We need a court order or something stopping Stonebwoy and Shatta Wale from being at the same venue.

We cannot leave it to chance anymore.

Regardless of whose fan you are, you’ve got to agree that the hatred (that’s what it is) has gotten out of hand.”
