Miss Tema Homowo is a beauty pageant activated by Menscourt Entertainmentz in May, 2018 set to empower women in Tema and its environs.
This brand isn’t limited to only women in Tema or the Ga’s but once you are eloquent & bold, you are set to join.
Menscourt entertainment thought of it wise to get some interesting but very educational activations which will center much on Culture since much people don’t know about the Ga Dangme Traditions to brand our Homowo festival.
We decided to meet the Traditional Council for their approval & support, they gladly approved because they also realized it was a worthy course.
This is a pageantry that has forever come to stay because aside it Empowering women, It’s here to build the confidence of many young ladies and as well make them more productive.
On this note, Tema is celebrating its 60 years of Resettlement and due to that Miss Tema Homowo 2019 pageant has be channeled to it.
The competition was opened to everyone with language and tribe being no barrier because the Tema is a cosmopolitan community and also, it will serve as a channel to sell our culture to other tribes within our jurisdictions.
Eight (8) young and eloquent ladies are contesting for this year’s (2019) beauty pageant and there, the question sets in again “WHO WEARS THE CROWN? We have 2 pre-activities to be done before the finals which will take place on 10th August 2019.
Namely, Cooking competition and Back to the 80s Festival will happen live at the Durbar grounds with both starting at exactly 10am.
Details Cooking competition Contestants will be divided into 4 groups and each group will come up with a special dish.
Date : 27th July, 2019 Venue : Kpeledzotsoshishi Back to the 80s Festival This is going to be a throwback day where many games that the internet has taken place of will be played. Date : 3 rd August, 2019 Venue : Kpeledzotsoshishi Examples of such games are: Tuu Ma Tu / Peele , Pilolo, Kpiting3 , Sakiodong, Alikoto, Olu, Awaley, Small poles among others.
It will be a long day packed with olden games and will be climaxed with Story Telling which will commence at exactly 7:30pm.
